As such, we’re delighted to announce that we have recently been awarded the Gold Investors In People (IIP) accreditation. Since 1991 Investors in People have set the standard for better people management. An internationally recognised accreditation that is held by 14,000 organisations in the world. The standard defines what it takes to lead, support and manage people well for sustainable results.  

Having Gold status puts Homewise in the top 14% of all companies that apply for IIP accreditation. During the ranking process, a number of aspects of good practice were highlighted by the assessor. We demonstrated that the support for staff development that we provide is very well underpinned with the use of coaching provision, extra training as well as comprehensive induction plans for new staff, plus a regular review process that always ensures that individual needs are identified and appropriate support can be put in place.

 

At Homewise we work to a unique matrix that enables us to reward and recognise the achievements of our team, which runs through-out the team up to Director level. Staff can be rated at bronze, gold, silver and platinum. Members of staff who consistently achieve gold are given monetary rewards, and all staff are given additional support to be able to progress to higher levels.

 

Another key aspect of our IIP status, is our ability to embrace ideas from all members of the team. We have a facility for shared IDEAS, where staff can put forward suggestions for improvements in the way the company is structured and organised. We also instill our values to be Honest, Original, Passionate & Empowering in a provision called HOPE Awards so that staff can nominate colleagues for particular support they give to others.
