Supporting Our Community
Here at Homewise, we want to create a lasting positive impact, not only for our customers but for our local community. Our values are at the core of every conversation and action we take, and our charity work is no different.
Each year Homewise supports a number of charities through volunteering time, sponsorships, donations and fundraising opportunities.
We’re committed to causes affecting older people and in 2018 we supported two fabulous local charities – Time to Talk Befriending and Guild Care.
Inspired by the work these charities do for the Sussex community, the whole Homewise team covered the distance of Brighton to Berlin during the “Big Blind Run” challenge!
These are just a few of the ways we've supported charities in recent years.
We are so proud to help the local community with various volunteering projects, and have raised over £43,000 for charity through our larger events and fundraising days!
Our passionate team are committed to helping others and as a company we've have also sponsored numerous members of our team with their personal fundraising events.
Through our actions, words and simple acts of kindness we can make a difference and, by dedicating our time, money and skills to charitable causes, we can continue to help people enjoy their retirement.
The Big Blind Run was great - the whole company got behind it and many of us even went to London to complete the challenge. This was all paid for and made me feel really proud to work for such a caring company.
Danielle, Marketing Communications Executive
I've thoroughly enjoyed all of the charity events, big and small, that I've been a part of. My favourite has been spending time at the Guild Care Centre, I love hearing everyone's stories.
Luke, Senior Property Consultant
I loved climbing Snowdon. The near-blizzard conditions only meant that we pulled together and helped each other out, it also made the whole experience that much more of an achievement.
Vicki, Head of Sales
It's great to be able to help out in local care homes, just being there as a friendly face and for a chat is both fun and rewarding.
Sam, Learning and Development Consultant
Spending time at Guild Care and visiting Bill for Time to Talk Befriending really made me feel like I had made a difference for the better to a person's life for those few moments. They definitely made a difference to mine.
