How many people work at Homewise?

The Homewise team has grown at a rapid rate in recent years.

In 2015, we had a team of 30 staff, this rose to 50 by January 2018 and today, in 2019, we have 70+ and are still growing!

What is the company culture like?

The office is a vibrant, energetic and fun place to be. Our team are driven by our core values alongside our very own "Culture for Success", and are passionate about their role in helping people achieve a happy retirement.

Charity Fundraising

Are there opportunities to give back to the local community?

Yes, we pride ourselves on being able to give back to the local community here at Homewise.

We take part in a big charity event every year, so far we have climbed Mount Snowden, rowed the Thames and in 2018, the whole of Homewise covered the distance of Brighton to Berlin to raise funds for Time to Talk Befriending during the “Big Blind Run”. 

We help the local community with various volunteering projects and have raised over £43,000 for charity through our larger events and fundraising days!

We're proud to have also sponsored numerous members of our team with their personal fundraising events.

Social Activities

What social activities does Homewise do?

There are various events throughout the year which include summer and Christmas celebrations. One of the great benefits of working in the centre of Worthing is the variety of bars and restaurants on our doorstep, so the team are often out for lunch or dinner within their departments and social circles too.

Some things we have done as a whole team in the past include Airsoft, meals out, family fun days, plus individual team building events. There are often sport social activities throughout the year too!

Where will I be located?

Most of our roles are based in our Head Office in Worthing, West Sussex. The office is located right in the heart of Worthing town centre, close to local transport links, shops and amenities.

Some of our roles are field based and this will be stated in the description of the vacancy.

The Recruitment Process

What can I expect from the recruitment process?

We are always adapting our recruitment process depending on the role we are recruiting for.

The interview process may involve (but not limited to) telephone screening, initial first stage interview, presentations, exercises which test the skills required for the role, values based recruitment, competency based recruitment and possibly even a role play.

Sometimes you will even get the opportunity to meet the team you will be working in. All of our interviews are relaxed as we want to see the best in you to ensure you fit our culture.

Application Follow Up

I have submitted an application, how do I know if it has been received?

You should have received a standard acknowledgement within 12 hours of an application being made, however if you are unsure and want to check, drop our recruitment team an email at careers@homewise.co.uk.


I have applied for a role with you, when will I hear if I have been successful?

We know how frustrating it is to not hear back from companies when you apply so we aim to respond personally to every candidate whether you have been selected or not.

Sometimes due to large volumes of applications this is not possible and we say that if you have not heard from us within two weeks of an application, assume you have been unsuccessful on this occasion. If you're uncertain, please email our team to check the status of your application.

Do you work with recruitment agencies?

Not at this time. Our HR department and in-house Recruitment Team handle all applications.

We do not accept speculative CVs from agencies as we are committed to sourcing our candidates directly. We do not pay agency fees where speculative and unsolicited CVs are submitted to Homewise or Homewise employees by any means other than through previous mutual agreement where terms of business are agreed in advance.
