Our first steps in finding the perfect property for you are to work out your goals and learn what you want to gain by moving home.
Happiness starts at home, so how will a new property help you be happier? If you’re feeling isolated and your family and friends are a little too far away, then location is key and relocating to a new area could be the right choice for you.
Independence and accessibility may be causing concern in your current property, do you want to live in a smaller, more manageable home? Support throughout your move
Part 1 – Meet Homewise
Firstly, you’ll talk to our Customer Service Team for an initial consultation to run through the Home for Life Plan and get an idea of your budget, then one of our Senior property experts will come to you for a consultation.
The consultation is key to finding out exactly what we can do for you. You will have chatted to us on the phone, but by meeting in person you and your family have the opportunity to ask all the questions you want, and we’ll talk you through every step of the Home for Life Plan.
It’s really important to us that you are fully informed and happy with the entire process. We won’t proceed with any property purchase until you, your family and your solicitor are completely happy with the plan.
We encourage you to invite family or friends to join the visit and can always arrange a day and time to suit you. When you’ve got a visit booked, a Senior Consultant will call you a day or so before to confirm the details and introduce themselves. Feel free to ask any questions or share any properties you may have seen that interest you.
On the day, we’ll come to you and sit down for an hour or two to go through your goals in detail. We will chat about your current situation and help you calculate your budget, look at the area you want to move to and potential properties you could live in.
By the end of the visit you will have learned about our company, the Home for Life Plan and what your potential boosted budget could be. We’ll finish off by creating an action plan with you and talk through the next steps in going forwards with your move.

Part 2 – Find the dream home
Our property experts prepare research on your property, the local market and previous selling prices ahead of the consultation to share with you and make sure you’re in a great position to sell your current house.
Once we know what you’re after, we’ll work with your Estate Agents to ensure they’re doing everything possible to market your property effectively and champion your goals throughout the moving process.
When you’re ready to look at properties, our Home Moving Team will support you through searches, viewings, going on the market, negotiating and conveyancing - every step of the way as you sell your current property through to moving in to your new home, all for free!
