Be inspired - come along to the Older People’s Festival (OPF) in Brighton and Hove from Monday 24th September – Sunday 7th October 2018!
The 2-week long festival returns for its third year, building on the success of 2017 and delivering a fun-packed series of events, classes and community days across Brighton & Hove.
Run by local charity, Impact Initiatives, the Older People’s Festival promises a “more expansive and wider reaching festival for 2018” and will have upwards of 100 events running over the 2 weeks!
“OPF 2018 is stacked with great events that aim to highlight and celebrate the contributions people aged 50+ make to our unique City. We look forward to offering our ever-increasing number of older people a fantastic two weeks and hope to leave them with some great memories.” Impact Initiatives
Since 2016, the OPF has bought together local businesses, communities and visitors across Brighton & Hove and encouraged everyone involved to celebrate the older community.
The theme of this year’s Older People’s Festival is aging well. Focusing on health and wellbeing in older age, while also offering the community and visitors the chance to meet new people, try a new hobby or learn a new skill.

There are set to be over 100 events at this year’s festival, the biggest and the best yet! Homewise are proudly sponsoring the Older People’s Festival once again and will be running our free property helpdesks over at the Hop50+ in Palmeira Square.
We’ll be returning to the Hop50+ community café on Tuesday 25th September and Monday 1st October, 10:00am - 12:30pm, offering FREE helpdesk sessions to those thinking about moving home.
Our team will be on hand to share expert tips and demonstrate how to find the best results on Rightmove and Zoopla. Both helpdesk sessions are open to all and free to attend. There’ll be coffee, free cake and friendly faces - come along and ask us anything!
