The cream of Cornish property
Mr and Mrs Green were living in a bungalow in Devon, when they decided what they really wanted to do next with their lives was to move back to the picturesque Cornish town of Port Isaac: the idyllic setting for TV's "Doc Martin".
They had lived there until their retirement and wanted to rejoin the vibrant local community - as well as return to one of the most beautiful villages in the West.
However, their taste in accommodation is shared by a great many other people, and house prices in Port Isaac had shot up since they lived there last. Bungalows, their preferred choice of property, were particularly expensive because they are so popular as holiday homes.
But now they are living the Cornwall dream. They approached Homewise who helped them find their ideal bungalow and Mr and Mrs Green were finally able to move in thanks to the Homewise Lifetime Lease. The property they wanted was for sale for £280,000 and the Lease allowed them to move in for £191,000 - inside their budget and saving them £89,000.
"Thanks to the Homewise Lifetime Lease, we are now able to be living in the village we love," says Name Green. "We couldn't be happier."
